Dr. Jeannette Gallagher is a true professional and deep thinker. Our discussion about my latest book, ‘Regina of Warsaw, Love, Loss, and Liberation’, about a young woman who flees the growing violence and anti-Semitism of Poland, brought out some serious issues we all face in one way or another. The violence of Eastern Europe at the turn of the 20th century caused many people to seek refuge in the United States. Dr. Gallagher brought out the many feelings we each have based on our and our family’s experiences. You don’t have to be Jewish to understand discrimination.
