Know what you are ordering and taking in supplements: fraudulent products!
Do you know what you are ordering on the internet? Do you know all the hands and machines that have touched the end product you are consuming? Are you sure what is said, publicized, and promoted as the right product is actually what you have in your hand?
I have used, sold, and recommended supplements, herbs, tinctures, homeopathic, and nutritional support products for over four decades now. I can tell you the companies I trust and those to run from. I can also tell you, yes, I have received fraudulent products myself. I do believe my experience is to share with you because what you order and ingest is a very dangerous proposition.
Why use supplement or products? The items I use and recommend have helped the physiological, biological, and emotional process in my body in times of stress, illness, and recovery. Without them, I would have had a slower healing process or perhaps not fully recover as I wished. Don’t get me wrong, I do not throw items at everything that shows up for me, but over the last several years of significant health challenges, I did toss in everything I could find to ease the walk of healing.
Recently I purchased a product from Amazon from the company webpage on the Amazon site. I knew the woman who is the head of the company, I went to medical school with her and felt very confident in ordering the product I wanted. It was the only place that I could get the ingredients and the mg of what I needed. I ordered and received the product in three days. When I touched the product (intuitive me, yes), I had a sense something was off. It looked exactly as the picture on the front of the label. I opened the bottle and felt an even stronger impulse that something was off. I checked the back of the label and noted it did not have the same ingredients in the same amounts that I wanted.
Next, I went to Amazon and compared the label of the product in the listing to the label on my bottle. It all looked the same in presentation, however, the ingredients were not the same and in much smaller percentages. I was looking for cysteine at 500mg and it had it as 10 mg., not the same.
I called the company directly, not through Amazon, and spoke with them. Yes, the product has a potential not to be their product and if I could please send them a screen shot of the bottle, bar code, and entire label. They recommended to only purchase the product from their website. Got it.
I called Amazon and they said there are no refunds for this type of product. I explained I had called the company, and they said to report it to Amazon and get a refund. I did just that. Amazon refunded it, no problem. They also stated they would make a report, well, who knows what that would be about.
Update: I just received an email from the company that has their name on the label. They answered in a matter of fact saying they have no control over third party vendors. I answered back asking if they then are using a fraudulent page on Amazon and giving out fraud items. No answer back.
We must be responsible for things that have our name, reputation, and links on. You will never see AI or whatever other sources referenced in my works. How would you know? It is easy to spot, I talk and write in a form of stream of consciousness, conversational text, and never edit my words. Yep, they could use a bit of dressing up, but I would rather you laugh or giggle at my references or mistakes and take them as a human is writing or speaking to you, ok?
So, this company, even thought I want to use their products, I am not going to recommend right now until I have a sufficient answer and conversation with them. Stay tuned for updates.
Bottom line: if you need supplement, please feel free to email me directly and ask about a certain company. If you need company references, please request a list via my email directly. I use only the companies that I can purchase directly from the source, no middlemen. I do not keep stock of items, but at times, I do have options for a bulk order if you are in need. I also use several companies that have affiliate links because I am purchasing directly from the source again.
Please do not allow anything that you feel ‘funny’ about into your body. Ask questions and if you do not like the response, toss, return, and demand a refund.
I also highly recommend not to purchase anything in a stockpile of supplements or items. First off, you may need the item today, but not next month, the physical need for it may have been met. Secondly, the products go bad in heat and weather that many are experiencing recently. I never stock items as I have learned my lesson the hard way through disposing of thousands of dollars of items post hurricane events in my area.
We will be talking about companies, what to take and what to leave, and how to make choices on this platform over the next several months.
If in doubt, please send me an email and I will respond with suggestions.
I do offer health/illness/wellness/advocate sessions over the phone to talk about what is hurting you or causing you grief at the moment in time. Check the website for options to obtain support. I have over five decades of experience in healthcare.
I also wish to note here: if you have experienced a great loss in the past few months from flooding, storms, death, or otherwise, I am open to listening to your story and offer comfort and a soft place to land. I have experienced all kinds of losses, physical, family, material goods, and location safety so many times this lifetime, I do consider myself a sort of expert at my knowing on this. But hey, just wait a bit, when the next storm comes I am sure I will find out more about disasters and death than the last. If you wish to speak, check my website on the compassionate care page for information.
Until next month, stay safe and be well,
