How refined is your perception of what you will accept of water in your life?
What happens when that perception is challenged?
Water from above or from below is the decisive question post excessive events.
Holding water in your hand, do you ask the question ‘what is it’?
Perhaps we are asking what the water holds, where has it been, what has it experienced, and how can it be saved for existence?
Since our body is mostly water, do we not ask the same of our body in terms of daily navigation?
Living here ‘on a lily pad’ of soil, I am intimately aware of water and its powers. It comes from below, as we live below sea level. It comes from above in forms of rain or hurricanes. It influences our drinking supply as Gulf salt water intrusion, Mississippi River pollution, water main breaks and excessive drought. It joins with chemicals to create an unseen force of danger hiding in plain sight. It is traded out for the domination of sugar and alcohol markets that soothe the soul.
Water, what is it? Have you experienced it in its purest form? What are you willing to accept, deny, or ignore that water holds?
It is a dance of life with water as the co pilot. Just never know what other spirits it brings along for the ride!
